Purper and White Reblooming Bearded Iris Mariposa Skies
When in bloom, the fragrant ruffled blue and white petals of Mariposa Skies reblooming bearded iris seem to float through the garden in a shimmering wave of color, just like their namesakes--butterflies! white tinged pink, falls violet with lighter edge, beard orange, standards (upper petals) with deep Purper midveins form puffy clouds above the deep Purper falls (lower petals) which are accented with delicate white veining near the lavender beards. Their light fragrance is attractive to butterflies, which visit often during their bloom, giving true meaning to the name Mariposa Skies.
Mariposa Skies reblooming iris comes from the Easy to Grow Bulbs multi-generational family farm in Bakersfield, California. In the summer, we dig the Iris rhizomes, 20 inch roots and all, carefully trim and inspect them, and send only the best to you.
