Cymbidium orchids are some of the easiest houseplants to grow. They bear pretty flowers in a range of colours, over a long period.
For best results grow Cymbidium orchids in a well-lit room away from direct sunlight. Cymbidiums prefer cooler growing conditions than other orchid varieties, and to flower well they require a distinct drop in temperature between day and night from mid- to late summer. It is possible to transfer cymbidiums outdoors in summer, but do keep them out of direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch. Many of these flowers have the added appeal of fragrance! Their popular flower types and elegant long leaves make Cymbidium orchids attractive as indoor plants.
During the growing season, water regularly and feed every three weeks. In winter, water sparingly.
